‘Indian 2’ actor Kamal Haasan calls Nedumudi Venu ‘One of the finest actors in Malayalam cinema’

Kamal Haasan, during the promotion of his upcoming film 'Indian 2,' shared heartfelt memories of working with the late Nedumudi Venu. Reflecting on their time together on the sets of both 'Indian' and 'Indian 2,' Kamal Haasan expressed his admiration for Nedumudi Venu, calling him one of the finest actors in Malayalam cinema.

"Today, I miss Nedumudi Venu," Kamal Haasan said. "He was one of the finest actors in Malayalam cinema." Kamal Haasan praised Nedumudi Venu's versatility, noting that he could effortlessly carry out any role. "Nedumudi Venu could easily be cast as the lead in movies, yet he was also perfect as a character actor," he added.


Kamal Haasan shared that Nedumudi Venu was not in the best of health during the filming of 'Indian 2.' He recounted their conversations during the shoot, where Nedumudi Venu would express his concerns and apprehensions. "During the shoot, he would share his uneasiness with me. We spoke about how we would celebrate this movie together after its release," Haasan said.

The actor's tribute to Nedumudi Venu was filled with emotion as he acknowledged the late actor's significant contribution to cinema and his personal impact. "Today, when I stand here, I feel his presence with me," Kamal Haasan concluded.
