took her decision to resign from the

Internal

complaints committee of

AMMA

(Association of Malayalam Movie Artists). The actress sent her resignation letter on Monday (May 2), but will continue her membership in AMMA.

Maala Parvathi’s resignation letter reportedly read that she was indeed happy to be part of the internal complaints committee of AMMA which was formed in compliance with the law and also helps in soaring up the confidence in women against such sexual harassment cases. She also added in her letter that being a member of such a committee is a huge responsibility and its working would be perfectly maintained if the committee is autonomous. She further adds that she is in doubt whether she will be able to carry out her responsibilities as a member according to her conscience.

Earlier, as per the reports, Vijay Babu stated that he is willing to step down from the AMMA executive committee until he is proved innocent. Mentioning the same, Vijay Babu sent a letter to AMMA saying that he is willing to stay away from the reputed organization as he does not wish to dishonor the organization due to the sexual allegation case filed against him. Reportedly, AMMA executive committee has accepted Vijay Babu’s letter.

In further proceedings, as per the reports, another case has been charged against Vijay Babu on grounds of another young actress filed an alleged sexual assault case against the actor.
