Nazriya Nazim is creating a lot of buzz in the industry. Apart from her much talked about engagement with actor Fahadh Faasil, her role in her latest outing has been lapped up by critics and audiences alike. With so much going on in her personal and professional life, the bubbly actress is on cloud nine. However, she makes it clear that her focus currently is on completing her pending projects.
“I will soon head to Bangalore for the shoot of Anjali Menon’s
Bangalore Days, which will be completed in a few days,” she says. So does that mean she will be away from Fahadh on V-Day? “Yes, we won’t be together as both of us are busy with film shoots. Fahadh has completed his portions in Anjali’s film and is currently shooting for another project,” says Nazriya, and adds that after the shoot of
Bangalore Days she will take a break to prepare for her wedding in August.
“I have not yet decided on what to wear on my D-Day. I am looking for something unique; I want to look different,” says the young star. Nazriya says she gets along well with Fahadh’s family and is all praise for his siblings. “Farhaan is such a darling; we share a good rapport. He is currently shooting for his first film directed by Rajeev Ravi in my hometown, Trivandrum. I feel at home when I’m with Fahadh’s family; it is great having them around,” she says.
Meanwhile, Nazriya is very excited about
Bangalore Days. “I play Divya, a simple girl in the film. I can’t reveal too many details,” says the actress, who has tried out a different look for the film and has even pierced her nose for the same. “I always try to experiment with my looks and so I decided to pierce my nose for this film,” she says.
Nazriya has also signed up for a bilingual film,
Vaayi Moodi Pesavum, directed by Balaji Mohan, which will see her getting out of her comfort zone and doing a different role altogether. “The movie was shot in 45 days and I enjoyed working with Balaji,” says Nazriya, who has been paired opposite Dulquer Salmaan in the film. “Though he is Mammootty’s son, he has no starry airs,” shares the actress. However, she maintains that her beau Fahadh is her favourite star in the industry. “He is my favourite star and I have seen all his films, except Olipporu.”
Though she has not made it clear whether she would continue to act after marriage, Nazriya says she has no plans to discontinue her studies and will pursue BCom privately.
