Buzz doing the rounds is that actress Archana Kavi will be seen as a village belle in director C Anoop's Avan, Aval, Avar, in which she is said to be paired alongside Kollywood actor Sethu. However, Archana clarifies, 'As of now, I'm not doing the film. It's true that I was approached for the film but my dates didn't work out.'
The actress is now busy with her debut Telugu flick.
Titled Backbencher, the flick will also have a Tamil version. Directed by Madhura Sreedhar of It's my Love Story and Sneha Geetam fame, the film has Archana paired opposite
Mahat Raghavendra, who won rave reviews for Mankatha. Speaking of her role in the flick, Archana says, 'I play a college girl caught in a sweet love tale. This character was irresistible especially because this will be the first time people will see me in an entirely different look from the so-called character roles I've done this far in my career, be it in Malayalam or Tamil film industries.'
While the next schedule of the flick is slated to start in December, Archana has some interesting projects in Mollywood too, including Kukkiliyar, Abhiyum Njaanum and Jean Paul Lal's directorial debut.
