IFFK 2021: 14 Malayalam movies to be featured

14 Malayalam movies have made their way to the 26th edition of the

International Film Festival of Kerala

(IFFK). Organized by the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy the film festival will be held in December, this year.

14 Malayalam films including Martin Prakkat’s ‘

Nayattu

’, Jeo Baby’s ‘The Great Indian Kitchen’, and Ranjith’s ‘Sunny’ will be screened in the Malayalam Cinema Today category.

‘Nishiddho(Forbidden)’, directed by Tara Ramanujan, ‘Aavasa Vyooham (The Arbit Documentation of an Amphibian Hunt)’ by Krishand RK, ‘Ennivar (The Following Persons)’ by Sidhartha Siva, ‘Prappeda (Hawk's Muffin)’, by Krishnendu Kalesh, ‘Udharani (Allusion)’ by Vignesh P Sasidharan, ‘Avanovilona’ by Sherry Govind and Deepesh T, ‘Bannerghatta’, by Vishnu Narayanan, ‘Aarkariyaam (Who Knows)’ by Sanu John Varghese, ‘Chavittu (Stomp)’ by Sajas Rahman and Shinos Rahman, ‘Niraye Thathakalulla Maram (Tree Full of Parrots)’ by Jayaraj Rajasekharan Nair, and ‘Woman With A Movie Camera’ by Atal Krishnan are the other movies selected in this category.

Vignesh Shivan and Nayanthara’s production ‘Koozhangal (Pebbles)’ helmed by Vinothraj PS has been selected in the Indian Cinema Now category. The Tamil film is also India's official entry for this year's Oscar Awards.

'Be Ches Ne Veth (I'm Not The River Jhelum)', 'Pedro', 'The Brittle Thread', 'Life is Suffering. Death is Salvation', 'Boomba Ride', 'Baagh (The Tiger)', 'Shankar's Fairies' and 'Deep6' are the other films featured in the Indian Cinema Now category at the 26th edition of the International Film Festival of Kerala.
