Vishnu Unnikrishnan’s action drama, ‘Idiyan Chandhu’, continues to face challenges at the box office, despite being in theaters for 14 days.
According to Sacnilk, the film has managed to collect Rs 62 lakhs globally. The film's India Net collections stand at Rs 56 lakhs, while the India Gross amount remains the same at Rs 62 lakhs. On its 14th day, ‘Idiyan Chandhu’ garnered only Rs 1 lakh from the Kerala Box Office (KBO), maintaining a consistent but modest earning trend of Rs 1 lakh over the past few days.
The film, which stars Vishnu Unnikrishnan in the titular role, tells the story of Chandu, a character known for his short temper and adventurous escapades. Despite its engaging plot and action sequences, ‘Idiyan Chandhu’ has not managed to make a significant impact at the box office. The movie is criticised for its poorly crafted action sequences and weak performances.
In contrast, Asif Ali's recent release, ‘Level Cross’, has been performing well. The film has achieved Rs 1.14 crore in India Net collections within its first week, with global collections reaching Rs 1 crore. On its 7th day, ‘Level Cross’ earned Rs 5 lakhs from the KBO, reflecting a positive reception and steady performance.
