Vishnu Unnikrishnan's recently released action drama movie 'Idiyan Chandhu' is struggling at the box office, with collections remaining disappointingly low.
According to the Sacnilk website, the film has garnered only Rs 58 lakhs worldwide in its first 10 days. The India Net collections stand at Rs 52 lakhs, while the India Gross amount is Rs 58 lakhs. On day 10, 'Idiyan Chandhu' managed to collect just Rs 2 lakhs from the Kerala Box Office (KBO).
'Idiyan Chandhu,' written and directed by Sreejith Vijayan, tells the story of Chandu, a boy known in his locality for his short temper and mischievous nature. The film explores his journey as he grows up with this reputation, delving into the complexities of his character and the challenges he faces.
Despite the intriguing plot and Vishnu Unnikrishnan's commendable performance, 'Idiyan Chandhu' has not connected well with the audience. The film's box office performance reflects this, with modest earnings that suggest limited interest and reach. Even with a plot with a good potential, 'Idiyan Chandhu' is criticized for its mediocre action choreography and screenplay.
While 'Idiyan Chandhu' has not met expectations at the box office, it remains to be seen if it can recover in the coming weeks.
