I was unsure doing an item number: Muktha

Muktha’s sizzling number in the Kunchacko Boban-starrer Chirakodinja Kinavukal has won her applause from all quarters. However, the actress says she had apprehensions about taking up the dance number in the movie initially. “It was producer Listin Stephen who offered me the role. Since I was not comfortable doing an item number, I rejected the offer. But later when I got to know about the unique characteristics of the song and the opportunity to act alongside Chackochan, I decided to take it up. However, I insisted that I will only wear clothes that I’m comfortable wearing. Thankfully,=[ the song was well-received by the audience,” she says. Muktha will next be seen in Kollywood in Vasuvum Saravananum Onnaa Padichavanka and Paambu Sattai. In Malayalam, the actress’ next is Sukhamayirikkatte, directed by TA Rasaq, in which she plays daughter to Siddique’s character.
