I wanted to direct Munnariyippu in Hindi: Venu
The film has Mammootty in the lead
In conversation with a news site, Venu recently said that he initially wanted to make the film in Hindi and thought of basing the story in Mumbai. When he narrated the story to wife Beena Paul, she suggested making the film in Malayalam. Munnariyippu is a low budget film and was completed in 28 days.
