I want to sing more songs: Lakshmi Menon

Joining the list of actors turning playback singers is Lakshmi Menon, who recently sang a folk number in the upcoming Tamil movie, Oru Oorla Rendu Raja, the music of which has been composed by D Imman. If sources are to be believed, Lakshmi sang the Tamil folk number quite well and the makers are extremely happy with the way the song has shaped up.
The actress says, “It was a delightful surprise when Imman sir called me for crooning the peppy number, Aathadi Ammaadi Ambayil Pootha Ponnu.In fact, it was a trial, but when I sang, he liked it and asked me to complete it.”
Lakshmi says she would be happy to sing more tracks in the future. “My grandmother is a music teacher and music is in my blood. And it doesn’t matter whether it is in Tamil or Malayalam, I will definitely take up singing offers if they come my way,” she says.
Meanwhile, Lakshmi is on a signing spree in Kollywood. She will be sharing screen space with Karthi in Komban, and will act with Vishal in his next.
