Mammootty is celebrating his birthday today. The exceptional actor turned 70 and colleagues and fans are pouring in wishes. Mammootty’s son and pan-Indian actor Dulquer Salmaan has now taken to his social media handle and penned an affectionate birthday note.

In the note,

said that they are blessed and fortunate to be Mammootty’s family. He also acknowledged the world constantly celebrating Mammootty and his work and the note is sure to melt your heart.

Mammootty, who ventured into the showbiz in 1971 with the Malayalam film ‘Anubhavangal Paalichakal’ has emerged as one of the most talented actors in Indian cinema. Although he debuted in 1971, Mammootty started focusing on his career as an actor during the 1980s. Mammootty reigned the Malayalam cinema in the 1980s. During those days, there were also instances, where Mammootty has worked in over 30 films a year. The actor has not only showcased his prowess in acting in Mollywood, but has also in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, and English films. Mammootty recently celebrated 50 years in cinema.
