I have no qualms doing a glam role
Ineya, known more for her Tamil films like Vaagai Sooda Va and Vaigai Express, will be seen in a Malayalam film soon, 'Swarnakaduva'.
The actress speaks about her upcoming films, career ambitions and more.
Being part of Swarnakaduva'
It was scriptwriter Babu Janardanan who called me for the movie. The film revolves around a live incident which happens in Thrissur, with Innocent playing a businessman and Biju Menon his driver.
1x1 polls
The film's shoot is over, and it was a learning experience to work with Babu Janaradanan, who was present throughout, and the director, Jose Thomas. He is the coolest director I have come across and would discuss every scene with us. As for Biju Menon, he has absolutely no ego and was very pleasant throughout the shoot.
A village girl called Lovely'
My character in Swarnakaduva is called Lovely and she is a village girl. Three women pass through Biju Menon's life in the film, and Lovely is the one who turns out to be a support to him at the end. The character has her own back story as well. She belonged to a renowned family, and eloped with her lover. Under certain circumstances she is forced to leave him, and her part in the story is about how she starts life again without him, in a colony, all by herself.

Acting as a ghost in Pottu'
I play the central character Pottamma in the Tamil film Pottu, and Bharat is my co-star. She is someone with divine powers, and in the film, my soul enters his body and so he has to act like me. All mannerisms had to be the same and so we had plenty of combination scenes. There were aerial sequences in the movie and Bharat really helped for all of them, since he has plenty of experience doing such stunts. Even otherwise he is quite sportive, and never says no to any stunt or difficult sequence. Shoot for the film is going on now, at Kollimalai hills.
Item dance number in Amar Akbar Anthony'
I know Nadirshah from childhood. I loved the music track in the movie, so jumped at the opportunity of doing a dance sequence with Prithviraj, Indrajith and Jayasurya. I am basically a model so I have no qualms doing a glamorous dance sequence or a glam character, for that matter.
Badminton, martial arts and horse riding'
I have always been active in celebrity badminton tournaments and for our next, which will be held in Malaysia, five States will be competing against each other. Meanwhile, I learnt mixed martial arts also which includes taekwondo, judo, karate, kung fu and kickboxing. You learn the basics and main movements of each form in mixed martial arts and so it is easy to pick up any one of them for a movie. It always helps to know defence mechanisms.
I am planning to learn Kathak and horse riding too towards the end of this year. In the South there are very few professional horse riding trainers or venues and I am enrolling in an academy in Singapore and plan to learn the sport whenever I visit the city.
