She hits the gym six days a week and works out for two hours every day. 'It was after winning the beauty pageant that I started taking up fitness seriously,' says Indu. However, she doesn't starve to lose weight.
Work out regime'I started out with a trainer as I didn't know what type of work out will best suit my body. I mix cardio and floor exercises, and focus on a specific part of the body a day ' like abs and back muscles.
Weight loss'I have a tendency to put on weight easily. I have not undergone any drastic weight loss after sticking to the exercise routine. I used to weigh 56 kg and after hitting the gym, I lost just one kg. However, I look like I lost at least five kg. That's what happens when fat is converted into muscle. I feel more fit and energetic these days.
Veggies not for me'I start my day with plain water. For breakfast, it is mostly idli, dosa or puttu. I don't eat too much non-veg, but I do include a lot of fish and eggs in my diet. In fact, I eat fish almost every day, especially for lunch. I am not too fond of vegetables. Since I gain weight very easily, I avoid eating rice. For dinner, it is either roti, a light soup or sandwich.
