I am not going to quit acting: Mamta

Rumours had been doing the rounds that Mamta Mohandas is quitting films due to ill health. It was also said that the actress, who had undergone treatment for cancer, found herself unable to take the pressure of shoots, which she had resumed after a long break.
However, Mamta confirmed to us that the news is not at all true. “It’s true that I’m going to take a break until I’m perfectly ok.But I never made a statement that I’m going to quit because of poor health,” she said. The actress says she has not been listening to scripts of late, which is probably why the rumours started.
“Such a news is distressing at this stage when I am just getting back into films. Right now, I’ve just finished the shoot of To Noora with Love, and will consider other projects as soon as I recover completely,” she added. Meanwhile, Mamta also clarified that she has not signed up for director Rajesh’s untitled film starring Meghana Raj.
