, comes actor-producer Rima Kallingal, who is now targeted by the moral police for apparently wearing a mini denim skirt paired with a white shirt while attending the Regional International film festival of Kerala. The cyberattacks weren’t solely targeted at the freedom of a woman's choices of clothes, but towards the fact that Rima Kallingal was speaking about the pressing need for an Internal Complaints Committee in cinema to prevent sexual abuse at the workplace (showbiz), wearing a mini skirt, which seemingly according to a section of

was ‘inappropriate’ for the occasion.

While a few netizens mercilessly trolled her wearing the mini, a majority of them alleged that she would have been taken seriously, if she was ‘dressed for the occasion'.

Rima Kallingal was speaking about a much larger issue on the pressing need for an ICC in cinema, so that women could feel safer, and would have a place to report sexual abuse or any kind of inconveniences caused during their tenure of work, however, the major problem got zeroed down to Rima Kallingal’s ‘mini’.

Rima Kallingal faced cyber attacks from a section of netizens but having said that it doesn’t mean the internet/ social media are one dark space because she is also receiving humungous support from both men and women. Netizens are posting pictures of them embracing their legs, and actress Nithya Menen too joined the bandwagon, sharing the slogan ‘We have legs’.
