Hesham Abdul Wahab: Lionel Messi was a treat to watch; love you Kylian Mbappe forever!

The FIFA World Cup 2022 has come to a glorious end with Argentina beating France in a penalty shootout. And Argentina’s superstar Lionel Messi is finally a World Cup Champion, thereby joining the pantheon of soccer’s greatest players. Musician Hesham Abdul Wahab, best known for composing the music for ‘Hridayam’, was one of the Mollywood celebrities to land in Qatar to watch the spectacular match.
Hesham is a fan of soccer and has penned a note detailing everything he witnessed at the World Cup Finals.
“What a day! What a wonder to watch! Qatar has absolutely become one of my favorite places now after the Fifa Event! Thank you @qatar for hosting this 🙏🏻 Towards 78th minute, when France’s @k.mbappe scored the penalty following his second goal, the entire stadium rose to witness the remaining historic match! Can’t express the feeling during the extra time and the penalty shootouts. Argentina played very cleverly from the very beginning, it took some time for Deschamps to understand what Lionel Scaloni did in the first half by switching Di Maria to the Left wing with passes and logs coming in from Messi constantly, after realizing this, Deschamps immediately subbed Giroud and Griezmann later. Only if they had known @k.mbappe would get them into the penalty shootouts, Deschamps would have offered a better lineup for the penalty kicks, again where @k.mbappe was only the one who stood alone with all the other subs who were quite nervous and first time shooters,” Hesham penned in his social media note.

He continued, “Goalkeeper Martinez smartly did quite a bit of mental work to stress up the remaining France’s penalty shooters, easily defending the second one and making the third ball deflected, by bringing on his usual club match tactics. Congrats Argentina for the win, @leomessi was a treat to watch. Love you @k.mbappe forever!
