Superstar Mohanlal is currently in Thodupuzha, shooting for his next ‘Olavum Theeravum’, a segment from an upcoming anthology based on prolific writer MT Vasudevan Nair’s short stories. The shooting is progressing at warp speed, and some pictures of Mohanlal’s avatar from the film have come out. In a picture shared by cinematographer Santosh Sivan, Mohanlal is seen decked up in a green t-shirt, chequered dhoti, and a scarf around his neck. Mohanlal is essaying the role of Bapputty in the segment and seems like he has effortlessly got into the character.

‘Olavum Theeravum’ is a short story by MT Vasudevan Nair, which was published in an anthology of stories in 1957. The short story was adapted on the silver screen in 1970 by PN Menon, and it featured Madhu and Ushanandini in lead roles. Madhu essayed the role of Bapputty in the film, and Mohanlal will be donning the same hat in the upcoming anthology!
Meanwhile, the ‘Olavum Theeravum’ featurette is helmed by Priyadarshan, and Santosh Sivan is the lensman, while Sabu Cyril has roped in as the production designer.
The upcoming anthology will have 9 featurettes as per the reports, of which two will be helmed by Priyadarshan. The veteran filmmaker is also directing ‘Shilalikhithangal’, which will feature Biju Menon and Shanthi Krishna. The shoot of the ‘Shilalikhithangal’ has been wrapped up long back as per the reports.
On the otherhand, Mohanlal will be joining Jeethu Joseph in London, to resume the shoot of ‘Ram’ after completing ‘Olavum Theeravum’.
