Recognized as a pan-Indian star, Dulquer consistently acknowledges his father's influence on his acting career.

Other actors like Dev Mohan and Fara Shibla also showered love on the film, labeling it a 'masterpiece' and a 'must-watch.' Mammootty's portrayal of Mathew Devassy in the movie has garnered praise from both within and outside the industry.

A review from The Times of India describes the film as, "Good movies can make society think and even initiate change. Kaathal - The Core might be one such." The storyline revolves around Mathew Devassy, played by Mammootty, an independent candidate chosen by the left to contest a local by-election. However, an unexpected crisis unfolds when Mathew's wife of 20 years, Omana, files for divorce. The film courageously tackles the issues surrounding the divorce, shedding light on societal attitudes, legal processes, and the liberating power of truth.

Due to its direct exploration of homosexuality, the movie faced bans in two Arab countries, Qatar and Kuwait, just days before its release. The ban stemmed from their adherence to Islamic Sharia law.

Directed by Jeo Baby, known for 'The Great Indian Kitchen,' the film adds depth to its theme by delving into homosexuality and societal attitudes. Despite facing bans, the film received acclaim for its bold approach and portrayal of various relationships. Notably, the film marks Jyothika's return to Malayalam cinema after a hiatus of 14 years.

Mammootty, currently working on 'Turbo' with director Vysakh, is set to appear in the horror film 'Bramayugam' and an action film titled 'Bazooka' next year. The actor continues to diversify his roles, maintaining his status as a prominent figure in Indian cinema.
