HBD Mukesh: Lesser known facts about the actor

Although the Mollywood actor Mukesh does not have a huge fan base like the popular actors Mammootty or Mohanlal, he is loved by many for his stunning performances in majority of the classic 90s movies in leading and supporting roles. One can never forget the classic films ‘Ramji Rao Speaking’, and ‘Mookkilla Rajyathu’, which the actor Mukesh has been a part of. Here, on the actor’s birthday, let’s take a look at some of the lesser known facts about Mukesh.

Although Mukesh stepped into the film industry with the 1982 film ‘Balloon’, the actor’s first lead role was in the film ‘Ithu Njangalude Katha’ which was a remake of the Tamil film ‘Palaivana Solai. Mukesh played one of the lead characters named Ramankutty in the film ‘Ithu Njangalude Katha’ which was released in the year 1982.

Mukesh was one of the most bankable stars of the early 90s, yes you heard it right! With the success of several films such as ‘Ramji Rao Speaking’, ‘Cheriya Lokavum Valiya Manushyarum’, ‘Mookkilla Rajyathu’, and several others, Mukesh has indeed managed to deliver several superhit films and the actor enjoyed a huge fan base among the Malayali audiences during the early 1990s.

Apart from being an actor, Mukesh has also bankrolled two films. Mukesh co-produced the superhit Sreenivasan-Mammootty starrer drama film ‘Kadha Parayumbol’ and he has also bankrolled the Nivin Pauly starrer superhit romantic entertainer ‘Thattathin Marayathu’ which was released in the year 2012.

Mollywood actor Mukesh has also proved his talent as a playback singer for the movies ‘Tsunami’ and ‘Rameshan Oru Peralla’. Mukesh also played a significant role in the comedy entertainer ‘Tsunami’ as a priest character named Sylvester Kattuparambil. The movie was directed by Lal and Jean Paul Lal and got good reviews from the audience.
