Actor Hareesh Peradi has taken a firm stand against the recent wave of casteist remarks targeting RLV Ramakrishnan, brother of the late Kalabhavan Mani, by Kalamandalam Sathyabhama.

In a bold move, Hareesh Peradi publicly denounced Sathyabhama's discriminatory comments, expressing solidarity with Ramakrishnan and demanding an end to such divisive behavior.

Through a social media post, Hareesh Peradi said, "We only wish to see Ramakrishnan perform Mohiniyattam, disregarding any commentary on his complexion resembling that of a crow, as previously mentioned, " declared Hareesh Peradi, echoing the sentiments of many who stand in solidarity with Ramakrishnan. His words marked the urgent need to challenge prejudices and promote inclusivity within traditional art forms like Mohiniyattam.

Meanwhile, RLV Ramakrishnan has responded to the remarks . In a candid social media post, he revealed the enduring impact of caste-based discrimination throughout his journey as a dancer, particularly during his time at Kalamandalam.

Also Ramakrishnan mentioned that he will take legal action against Sathyabhama. Meanwhile, the netizens have outraged against Sathyabhama's derogatory comments and is now lending support to the actor RLV Ramakrishnan.

On the work front, Ramakrishnan was last seen in the drama film 'Theetta Rappai' which was directed by Winu Ramakrishnan who has also scripted the film along with the writer CA Sajeevan.
