He doesn’t like differentiating a movie as art or commercial type

His father was an actor

Featuring Indrajith Sukumaran in the lead, the movie discussed the life of a Kathakali artist and his revenge. Although the movie received positive reviews, it failed in the box office. 10 years later, at this present moment, he is a filmmaker who could equally impress the audience, critics, and the box office numbers!
He is an independent filmmaker
A month ago, Lijo Jose Pellissery declared that he will be an independent filmmaker. He was apparently upset by regulations that prevent filmmakers from creating their content and choosing the platform of release, which was an after effect of the pandemic. Lijo Jose Pellissery clarified that he is a creator and hence can’t stand with restricting one from their work and questioning the integrity.
