Directed by Prithviraj with a script by Murali Gopy, the film's shooting is ongoing in multiple locations including Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Mumbai, Abu Dhabi, and Morocco.

Mollywood's talented actor-director, Prithviraj Sukumaran, turns 41 years old on this day (October 16), and fans can't help but rejoice because the makers of the much-talked-about film ‘L2: Empuraan’ have unmasked his first look from the movie. The reveal was a special surprise from none other than his co-star Mohanlal, who shared Prithviraj's character poster on social media to celebrate his birthday.

On Twitter, Mohanlal posted a fiery poster featuring Prithviraj as Zayed Masood. He captioned, "Happy birthday General! Forsaken by God…nurtured by the DEVIL! #ZayedMasood The Emperor's General. #L2E #EMPURAAN @PrithviOfficial.” The Tweet was soon flooded with comments from fans who are eagerly waiting for the film to hit the big screens.

‘L2: Empuraan’ is one of the most-anticipated films in the Malayalam industry, headlined by Mohanlal and Prithviraj. Joining them is a stellar cast including Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran, Manju Warrier, Abhimanyu Singh, Arjun Das, Fazil, Shine Tom Chacko, and many others. In this sequel, Prithviraj's character Zayed Masood is the loyal right-hand man of the protagonist Khureshi Abraam played by Mohanlal.

The second part is expected to show a stronger background of Zayed along with the lead character Abraam Khureshi played by Mohanlal.
Written by Murali Gopy, ‘L2: Empuraan’ will be shot in many places. Shooting is in full swing currently in Thiruvananthapuram. The schedules are planned at Kochi, Kuttikkanam, and Mumbai also, besides Abu Dhabi and Morocco. Director Prithviraj has gone for a short break with the family to celebrate his birthday. He will resume shooting on 17th October.
