Mollywood actor Tovino Thomas is all set to headline Biju Kumar Damodaran’s directorial upcoming film ‘Adrishya Jalakangal’. As per the recent updates, the makers have roped in the two-time Grammy Award winner Ricky Kej as the music composer for the project.
Tovino Thomas announced the news via his official Instagram handle. Sharing a picture of Ricky Kej, the ‘Vaashi’ actor penned a note that read, “On the occasion of #WorldMusicDay, we are elated to announce that two times Grammy Award Winner, @rickykej will be composing the music for #AdrishyaJalakangal.”

For the unversed, Ricky Kej is a multi-Grammy Award-winning Indian music composer and an environmentalist who has also done live-stage performances in over 30 countries. Ricky Kej won a Grammy in the year 2015 for his album ‘Winds of Samsara’ and in the year 2022 for the album titled ‘Divine Tides’. Ricky Kej’s other notable musical works include ‘Samsara’, ‘One Song’, ‘Ganga’, ‘One with Earth Song’, and ‘New Earth Calling’.
On the other hand, Ricky Kej has also worked in the Kannada films ‘Crazy Kutumba’, ‘Venkata’, and ‘Accident’.
Meanwhile, the Tovino Thomas starrer ‘Adrishya Jalakangal’ is helmed by the talented director Dr. Biju Kumar Damodaran who is known for several content-oriented films and has also won the National Award twice for the films ‘Perariyathavar’ and ‘Valiya Chirakulla Pakshikal’.
‘Adrishya Jalakangal’ is said to have a different style of story treatment that has a mix of surrealism with realistic elements coupled with touching emotions. The film is also said to stand high both artistically and aesthetically.
Apart from Tovino Thomas, ‘Adrishya Jalakangal’ also features the actors Indrans and Nimisha Sajayan in pivotal roles. Yedhu Radhakrishnan is roped in as the cinematographer and Davis Manuel will handle the cuts. Dileep Daz is in charge of the production design and Pattanam Sha handles the makeup department of the film.
