The director tells us that the movie, a rustic entertainer, has the actor playing a lazy, wayward youth who ‘enjoys’ a bad reputation in his village. The film’s story and script is by Umesh Krishnan and it has music by Ranjin Raj and Arul Dev.

Jayaram reveals, “Gokul’s character in the film is named Pappu, and he is a youthful miscreant whom his family or villagers aren’t very fond of. He has ‘earned’ quite a bad name over the years right from his school days. But, he is also silently in love with one of his schoolmates, named Devi. The movie goes on to show how Devi pursues engineering and

too, follows her into the course and the eventual events.” The movie is his journey towards earning a good name for himself, to win the acceptance of the girl and her family, he says.
