Short films are creating more of an impact than feature films often, what with their popularity online. The latest in the list is 'GodsApp' a short film which deals with the troubles brought about by the ongoing conceptual war between virtual world and real world. A new-age incarnation of divine power is the need of the hour, to rescue the society which is dominated by social media powered hypocrisies! The film, written and directed by Prathiash M S and Reshma C Mohan, stars Sreyas Narayan, Subin Subramannyan, Georgy Paul, Sajeev Nair and Reshma C Mohan among others.
The premise of the story is that, in today's world, people have shrunk themselves into expressing and wishing for everything over the virtual world. Directoral debutants Prathiash Sam and Reshma Mohan has visualised this through their short film GodsApp. Here God himself decides to intervene to the life of the hero through the most common and familiar way possible today - An application.
Throughout the film it is shown that God explains to the hero the importance of life. The story begins when he gets a notification of an application being installed in his mobile phone. Confused but ignoring his doubts he checks his phone to take a look of this new application. Moving on he finds out that the application is none other than God Himself. God explains to him as to why He had to choose this particualr way to communicate to him.
