We all know that Kunjiramayanam fame Basil Joseph's upcoming movie Godha is all about wrestling. Ever since its first look and trailer was out, Malayali movie buffs are going gaga over the quirky actions and attitude of Tovino, Renji Panicker and its heroine Wamiqa Gabbi. Seeing the viral trailer, many had even tagged it as the Dangal of Mollywood. On the new label Godha has received, its heroine, who is also doing the central role in the movie tells us that the movie is totally different from Aamir Khan's Dangal.
"Both are totally different films. Godha is a sports comedy and does not have any resemblance with Dangal. Just because wresting is portrayed in both films, we cannot compare each one of them. The film was shot way before Dangal and the release was delayed due to the distribution strike," she said.
Wamiqa plays a wrestler from Punjab named Aditi. The film's trailer fetched above 3 Lakh views within 24 hours of time. Godha is scheduled to release on May 12, 2017.
