"God bless you” was SP Balasubrahmanyam’s last message to singer Shweta Mohan

passed away today at the age of 74. His demise has shattered the entertainment industry and his friends and colleagues from the music industry are still trying to cope up with the unfortunate loss.

Popular singer Shweta Mohan

who has worked with SP Balasubrahmanyam in a few movies and also has done stage shows with the legendary singer was devastated by the news of his demise. The singer has now recalled the last conversation she had with SPB. Shweta Mohan shared that her last conversation with SP Balasubrahmanyam was on April 16. And SP Balasubrahmanyam’s last words to her were ‘God Bless You’.

“Dearest #SPB Sir… Never imagined a day to say farewell to him would arrive. Unable to come to terms w it! His last words to me on private message on 16th April this year was "God bless you". He will live on through his songs in the most special moments of each of our lives. Thank you for all the music, but this loss is going to prick us fr a long time to come…,” Shweta tweeted.

She also shared an audio message that SP Balasubrahmanyam has sent her on the same day.

has about 40,000 songs to his credit and of which 116 are Malayalam. He made his debut in Malayalam with the 1969 movie ‘Kadalppalam.’ Some of his popular Malayalam songs include ‘Tharapadam’ from ‘Anaswaram’, ‘Ootty Pattanam’ from ‘Kilukkam’, and ‘Nenjil Kanjabanam’ from ‘Gandharvam’ among others.
