Meanwhile, Kaniha made headlines for a song ‘Maargazhi Thinkal’ as she along with eight other stellar actresses joined hands to celebrate the spirit of Margazhi. Suhasini Mani Ratnam took the initiative of bringing some talented artists including Kaniha, Shobana, Revathy, Nithya Menon and a few others teamed up to sing the first thiruppavai. Titled 'Maargazhi Thingal', the music video went viral.
