'I've always wanted to be part of cinema and now that I'm done with my degree, I thought this was the right time to take the plunge,' says Jitin, who is also working as an assistant director in Sudhir Ambalapadu's Breaking News.
While the two movies have him learning what goes on behind the screen, he says, 'My ultimate passion is to be an actor. I took up these projects because I have known both Aneesh and Sudhir. Working in Aneesh's film was a different experience as 75% of the cast and crew were newcomers.'
Meanwhile, the younger brother Dinnath is the one following his father's footsteps to be a lyricist, penning the lines for the film's songs. 'I was nervous writing the lines because of my father's reputation of being one of the best in the business,' he says.
Ask the brothers if being the sons of the renowned lyricist, who passed away two years ago, comes with its own expectations, and Jitin beams, 'The expectations are always there. I intend to prove myself based on my talent.'
While Jitin says he has discussed a few projects to start off his acting career, he adds, 'I am confident Dinnath would make a name for himself in the industry even before I do because he is the more talented one.'
