Geethu’s film in Sundance fest

For a while, Geethu Mohandas is missing in action from the acting friend, but she is definitely making her presence felt as a director.
Of late, we hear the the actor-turned-filmmaker's movie The Liar's Dice has been selected for the competition section of the Sundance Film Festival. Set in the backdrop of a rustic village in Himachal Pradesh, the theme revolves around the problems faced by a young tribal mother and her three year old daughter .
“ The movie also narrates thethe socio-political conditions of India where millions of labourers go missing and are considered just a number in government records," says the director in a statement.The film was captured by the actress's husband and national award winning choreographer Rajeev Ravi. Geethu has previously directed the film titled Kelkkunnundo.
The movie that features Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Geetanjali Thapa , will be featured in the "World Cinema Dramatic Competition". The festival will held Jan 16-26, 2014 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
