Game for any film with strong woman character: Anumol

For actress Anumol, it makes no difference whether a film is mainstream or commercial; all that matters is that it should have some importance for the woman character. That attitude has surely set her in good stead. All the films that she has done so far, and is currently working on, sees the actress playing strong woman characters crucial to the story.
���Whether it is Ivan Megharoopan or Bhakthipra-sthanam, there was a lot of scope for performance,��� says the actress, who is currently shooting for Parayan Bakki Vachathu by director Kareem. ���I play a village belle in the film, who is in love with a rough and tough guy, Immanuel, played by Maqbool Salman.���
She also plays a prominent role in David and Goliath, where she has been cast opposite Anoop Menon. ���With a story by Anoop and direction by National Award winner Rajeev Nath, you can imagine how the film will turn out to be! The whole shoot was in Wagamon. Anoop and Rajeev went the extra mile to groom the characters during the shoot,��� she says.
She has more reasons to rejoice. Akamdirected by Shalini Usha Nair and has her playing a ghost, will be released this month. Based on Malayattoor Ramakrishnan���s book Yakshi, the film has Fahadh Faasil playing an architect who suspects his beautiful wife is a ghost. The film has been screened at 14 film festivals so far. However, what the actress is looking forward to the most is the screening of her film Chayiliamat the ongoing international film festival in Trivandrum, especially since the film revolves around her character. ���Currently, there is only one form of theyyam which is performed by women, the Bhagavathy theyyam. I have the honour of performing the art form in the film,��� says Anumol.
