A few days back, Kamasutra 3D director Rupesh Paul was in the news when he circulated a picture of himself posing with a topless girl, at the Cannes festival. The girl, he claimed, was a French actress, who stripped down to catch his attention. However, the tables have now turned. Turns out, the girl in question in not an actress, but a French art student named Aurore Nouailhas.
She has now taken to social media to slam the director for using her pictures to publicise himself by floating false news. She claimed that she was neither an actress, nor famous, and was had no idea who
Rupesh Paul was. “I am not a fan of Rupesh Paul and I dunno who the f**k he was before he said that I am a big fan of him and post a photo with me, half naked at Cannes festival (sic),” Nouailhas wrote on her social networking page, addressed to the ‘Indian People’. She also added that she was just making a feminist statement about the right to go topless, when Rupesh asked her if he can take a picture, like many others.
Caught in the midst of this controversy, Rupesh is now doing a volteface. He claims that he never said she was a fan. “I only shared the picture with a journalist friend. The reports that came out in certain sections of the media was an exaggerated one.” So why did he share the fake reports? “Even if there was fiction in it, I enjoyed it as I was struggling to get attention in the big ocean of Cannes,” he says, adding that the girl introduced herself to him as an actress, and that he has a brochure she gave him to prove it.
