Anumol is known for her outstanding choice of works. Recently, the diva signed a new film titled ‘
Taya
’. Interestingly the film is made in the
Sanskrit
language and is directed by
G Prabha
.
G Prabha is a Malayali filmmaker, who has marked his directorial debut with ‘Ishti’ in 2016, which also happens to be a Sanskrit film.
The title ‘Taya’ translates to ‘By her’. Anumol has roped in to play the lead character with Thespian Nedumudi Venu. He was also a part of G Prabha’s debut film. Apart from them, Babu Namboothiri and Dinesh Panicker are also a part of the film.
Anumol was delighted to be a part of the film. She took to her social media handle to announce the same. “Happily sharing that am doing a Sanskrit film directed by G Prabha produced under the banner of Sree Gokulam Movies, titled as “TAYA” ( meaning by her),” Anumol wrote on Instagram.
As per the reports, ‘Taya’ is set in the 19th century and it is based on Thathri Kutty’s Smarthavicharam. The film is expected to be focusing on the trial as well as the struggles of the women in the Bhraminical system.
The film is produced by
Gokulam Gopalan under the banner of Sree Gokulam Movies.
The film also has a talented technical team. Ace filmmaker Sunny Joseph is handling the camera for ‘Taya’ and National award-winning editor B Lenin will be managing the edits.
