The shooting of ‘Mene Pyar Kiya’, starring Hridhu Haroon in the lead role, has officially wrapped up. Directed by debutant Faisal Fasiludeen, the film completed its production with final schedules in Madurai. The shoot began with a formal switch-on ceremony led by producer Sanju Unnithan. The film was shot over thirty days in Changanassery and twenty days in Madurai, capturing vibrant visuals for this romantic comedy thriller.
Hridhu Haroon, who gained recognition with his performance in ‘Mura’, returns to the big screen with this project. The film also marks the Malayalam debut of the ‘Aasa Koodu’ song fame Preity Mukhundan. The cast further includes Ashkar Ali, Midutty, and Arjyo in pivotal roles.
Supporting performances will be delivered by Jio Baby, Sreekanth Vettiyar, Riddin Kingsly, Thrikkan, Mime Gopi, Boxer Dheena, Jagadeesh Janardhanan, Jeevith Rex, and Bibin Perumbilli.
Produced by Spire Productions, ‘Mene Pyar Kiya’ is expected to follow the successful path of their previous romantic comedy hit Mandakini (2024). With a blend of romance, comedy, and thrilling elements, the film is set to entertain audiences upon its release.
Expectations are quite high for ‘Mene Pyar Kiya’ and the makers has already made success with the comedy film ‘Mandakini’. ETimes review for ‘Mandakini’ reads, “On a positive note, the film showcases strong women without judgment and in a good light. Rajalakshmi was a young widow who raised two children, and she drinks and runs a driving school business, and won’t take any nonsense from anybody. Aromal and Ambili have sweet moments as a new couple. But the story is stretched out with jokes and situations that are just not compelling enough. And the number of scenes showing various characters drinking or having consumed alcohol almost seems like a weird fixation. The scripting by Shiju M Bhaskar and Shalu is weak and Vinod Leela’s direction does not do much to lift it.”
