When it comes to donning a lungi, Malayali actors know how to do it in style. Be it to show-off their heroism or for that local ruffian look, lungi always comes in handy. Fahadh Faasil is the latest to rock the lungi in his upcoming film.
In James Albert’s
Mariyam Mukku, the actor plays a fisherman, and he sports a lungi throughout the film. Says the director, “There is only one scene where he wears a mundu and that is when he heads to a hospital.”
Fahadh was seen in a lungi in his earlier films like
Annayum Rasoolum and Friday, but only in certain portions.
Touted to be a rom-com, Mariyam Mukku is set against the backdrop of a beach. The movie will not only show Fahadh in a new get-up but he will try out a different slang, which is used by the fishermen folk.
Joy Mathew, Dinesh Nair, Neeraj Madhav and Irshad are some of the other actors in the film. Sana Althaf plays the female lead opposite Fahadh. The shoot is progressing at Kollam.
