Fahadh Faasil's 'Aavesham's OTT rights sold for a record price, surpassing Dulquer Salmaan's 'King of Kotha’

Fahadh Faasil's latest action comedy flick, ‘Aavesham’ (2024), continues its victorious streak, not only dominating the box office but also breaking records in the digital space.


Following its success in theaters, grossing over INR 150 crore worldwide, ‘Aavesham’ is now set to make waves in the OTT space as it gears up for its digital premiere on Amazon Prime Video starting May 9, 2024.

According to reports from the Front Row Twitter forum, ‘Aavesham’ has surpassed the OTT business of Dulquer Salmaan's ‘King of Kotha,’ which previously held the record at Rs 32 crores. The digital streaming rights for ‘Aavesham’ have been sold for a jaw-dropping INR 35 crore.

Written and directed by Jithu Madhavan, ‘Aavesham’ boasts a stellar cast including Fahadh Faasil in the lead role, supported by Hipster, Mithun Jai Shankar, and Sajin Gopu in pivotal roles. The film's music, composed by Sushin Shyam, has also garnered acclaim from audiences and critics alike, contributing to its overall success.

Fahadh Faasil has indeed made his grand comeback with Jithin Lal’s ‘Aavesham’ and his character Ranga is getting much adulation from the audiences. Fahadh’s previous outing was with Pawan Kumar’s directorial ‘Dhoomam’ which unfortunately flopped at the box office as it didn’t impress the audiences.
