Fahadh and Joju George team up in Sajimon’s directorial

The movie is scripted by Rafi and co-produced by Badusha

Fahadh

Faasil and Joju George will be collaborating in two films next year, both directed by debutants. While they had earlier announced Thankam that will be helmed by Saheed Arafath and written by Syam Pushkaran, their latest signing is an yet-to-be-titled movie directed by

Sajimon

and scripted by Rafi.

Sajimon, who has worked as an associate director to Mahesh Narayanan, VK Prakash and Venu, says, “It’s a realistic entertainer that will be set in the contemporary era. It will have humour but will be totally different from the previous scripts of Rafikka.”

The team is planning to start the shoot of the movie by March 2020. Sajimon is also currently working as an associate director in Fahadh’s current film Malik.

Incidentally, production controller Badusha, who is turning producer with the movie, tells us Fahadh was the main reason for the upcoming project to be green-lit. “Fahadh is the reason I turned producer. We had first discussed about doing a film together while Fahadh and I were doing Take Off. He said he will play the lead in it and suggested Sajimon as the director. We then heard a lot of scripts but nothing worked out, and that’s when Fahadh narrated a thread. That’s what Rafi is now working on.”
