‘Varshangalkku Shesham’ directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan, featuring Pranav Mohanlal and Dhyan Sreenivasan, is slated to release on Thursday, April 11. The film interestingly also marks the reunion of brothers Dhyan and Vineeth Sreenivasan after ‘Thira’. In an exclusive interview with ETimes, Vineeth Sreenivasan talks about directing his brother Dhyan.
Dhyan Sreenivasan has emerged as one of the busiest actors in M-town. Rarely does a month pass without at least one of Dhyan's films gracing the theaters.
So what did Vineeth Sreenivasan, as a filmmaker, feel about the actor in Dhyan when they collaborated after a decade? “I feel Dhyan has become a seasoned actor now. While working on ‘Varshangalkku Shesham', he had zero camera inhibitions. I think all these years of experience have refined his performance.”
Speaking of directing his brother, Vineeth adds, “In fact, during the shoot of ‘Varshangalkku Shesham’, Dhyan didn’t need much detailed discussion." He picked it up instantly. The same goes for Appu (Pranav Mohanlal). I narrated the story to Pranav about 2–3 times. For Dhyan, we hardly get to see him (laughs), so I narrated to him two days before the shoot! On sets too, neither Appu nor Dhyan need a lot of prep or briefing, except for the emotionally charged scene. They knew what I wanted.”
‘Varshangalkku Shesham’ also has actors Aju Varghese, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Basil Joseph, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Neeraj Madhav, Neeta Pillai, Arjun Lal, Nikhil Nair, Shaan Rahman, and Nivin Pauly in crucial roles.
