is one such actor. ‘Sathyam Shivam Sundaram’ fame actress Aswathi Menon treasures her character in ‘Trance’ as a huge step in her ladder to success. Aswathi essayed Kavitha, a casting director in the movie. In an exclusive chat with ETimes, Aswathi Menon talks about her admiration for Mollywood’s Lady Superstar Manju Warrier and also opens up about her expectations from the industry.

“Manju Warrier is a huge motivation,” Aswathi Menon says when asked about who she looks up to. “I am closely following Manju Warrier’s work. She is a massive motivation for someone like me who is making a comeback,” the ‘Trance’ actress added.

Aswathi, who has made a comeback through ‘Role Models’, has now become one of the promising supporting actors in M-Town. Apart from her role in ‘Trance’, her performance in ‘June’ also earned her a lot of praise. She essayed June’s (Rajisha Vijayan) mother Mini, who is a very strict parent. She was seen opposite Joju George in the movie and her performance was lauded. The past couple of years, Aswathi saw a big start in her career and the actress seems to be catching up with the trends in the industry as well.

“Also, I would love to work with Lena,” Aswathi said excitedly when asked about who else impressed her. “Lena is an amazing actress. She aces every role she gets. She is just a pure beautiful soul,” Aswathi further added. The gorgeous actress also became vocal about her wish to work with the two superstars - Mohanlal and Mammootty, in her journey someday.

Confessing that she is a bit selective and is looking for good production houses and a good team to work with, Aswathi said, “I am ready for all kinds of character sketches. But I am a bit selective about the production houses. I would love to work with good production houses. Also, with a fresh new team.”

Aswathi concluded on a positive note that she is in talks for a couple of projects and will make an announcement once finalised.
