‘Ekanthathayude Mahatheeram’ song from ‘Neelavelicham’ will immerse you in the sea of solitude

Aashiq Abu’s ‘Neelavelicham’ is heading to the big screens in April, and the makers have launched a very special song from the film on Valentine’s Day. The song titled ‘Ekanthathayude Mahatheeram’, features Tovino Thomas, who plays a novelist in the film. As the title suggests, the song dives deep into the solitude of the novelist.

A brilliant Tovino Thomas adds layers to his character, while cinematographer Girish Gangadharan and editor V Saajan do complete justice to the lyrics by the iconic P Bhaskaran, and music by veteran MS Baburaj. Bijibal and Rex Vijayan are in charge of the instrumental arrangements, and the magical vocals of Shahabaz Aman keep the soul of the song alive.

Helmed by Aashiq Abu, ‘Neelavelicham’ is based on Vaikom Muhammad Basheer's eponymous short story. The short story was previously adapted on the silver screen by veteran A Vincent in 1964. Titled ‘Bhargavi Nilayam’, the film featured Madhu, Vijaya Nirmala, and, Prem Nazir in the lead roles, and it is also considered the first horror film in Malayalam.

Aashiq Abu’s film has Tovino Thomas, Rima Kallingal, and Roshan Mathew in the lead roles, and the expectations are extremely high. ‘Neelavelicham’ is slated for release on April 21.
