Easter 2023: Mammootty, Mohanlal and other celebs extend wishes on Resurrection Sunday

Easter or Resurrection Sunday commemorates the resurrection of Lord Jesus from the dead. This year Easter falls on April 9. A prominent festival for the people who belong to the Christian community, Easter is described in the New Testament as having occurred on the third day of his burial following his crucifixion by the Romans at Calvary. The day is celebrated in different ways across the globe.The celebration begins with the late hour of Church services on Saturday, decorating houses with eggs, and indulging in a feast.
On the special occasion, Mollywood celebrities including Mammootty, Mohanlal have taken to their respective social media handles to extend wishes.
“Wishing Everyone a Happy Easter,” Mammootty tweeted.

Mohanlal shared Easter wishes on behalf of his ‘Malaikottai Vaaliban’ team. Nivin Pauly extended wishes and said, “Wishing you all a Happy Easter!”

“He is risen indeed. Alleluia. Happy Easter to you all,” actor Babu Antony said.
