Dulquer Salmaan's uber cool get-ups in his movies have always hit a chord with his young fans, especially his character Charlie which sported a full beard and bohemian outfits. For his latest movie Kammatti Paadam, we hear the actor will be appearing in two different looks ' as a youngster and a middle-aged man.
A source from the Rajeev Ravi directorial's production unit tells us, 'The movie shows two phases of Dulquer's character's life - at ages 25 and 40.
The sequences in which he appears as a middle-aged man have already been canned in Mumbai.'
Recently, a snap of the actor in the toned-down avatar surfaced. Dulquer seems to have shed quite a few kilos in the snap. Our source confirms that this would be his look for the younger phase of his character in the film, while adding that Dulquer his weight loss wasn't intentional. 'Dulquer was unwell for the past one month and had lost at least 10 kg. But it's a marked change from the 40-year-old getup of the character and it works well for the movie,' says the source.
Kammatti Paadam revolves around three characters - Krishnan, Ganga and Anitha ' played by Dulquer, Vinayakan and Shaun Romy, respectively.
'The story is based on the changes in their relationship over the course of time,' says the source. The shoot is currently progressing in Kochi and the film is expected to hit theatres by April.
