DQ 40: Is Dulquer Salmaan teaming up with ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ makers for his next?
With the success of the recently released ‘Lucky Baskhar’, the fans are eagerly waiting for the upcoming projects of the Mollywood actor Dulquer Salmaan. Recent reports suggest that the actor will be teaming up with the ‘Sita Ramam’ makers for his next project with the ‘RDX’ director Nahas Hidayath.
According to the OTT Play reports, Dulquer Salmaan and Nahas Hidayath’s most-awaited untitled project will be bankrolled by DQ’s production banner along with a popular Telugu production house which has bankrolled several superhit films including ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, ‘Sita Ramam’, ‘Mahanati’ and others.
Reports also say that the Dulquer Salmaan - Nahas Hidayath film will be a fantasy action film and the expectations are quite high for the movie which marks the 40th film of the talented actor. Dulquer Salmaan will be playing the lead character in the movie which reportedly marks the Malayalam debut of SJ Suryah who will be playing an antagonist character, as per the reports. Antony Varghese Pepe who played the lead in Nahas’ debut film ‘RDX’, will be also playing a pivotal character in the Dulquer starrer.
Dulquer Salmaan recently confirmed his project with Nahas Hidayath during the promotional event for ‘Lucky Baskhar’ which was held in Kerala. The actor also revealed that he will be teaming up with Soubin Shahir and another debutant director for upcoming two projects in Malayalam.
Meanwhile, Dulquer’s ‘Lucky Baskhar’ has started streaming on OTT. Directed by the talented Venky Atluri, the thriller drama movie was hailed for it’s perfectly written screenplay and stunning performance of Dulquer Salmaan as the lead character Baskhar. ETimes review for the film read, “Dulquer Salmaan, who transforms into Baskhar, delivers a performance that is simple, balanced, and profoundly effective. He pours life into the role, making Bhaskar relatable and approachable, drawing audiences into his journey with an authentic portrayal. Meenakshi Chaudhary, seen previously in a limited role in Guntur Kaaram, is seen in a more substantial role here, and she shines as Sumathi, the devoted wife and mother. Her portrayal adds depth to the film's emotional landscape.”
