‘Dominic and the Ladies’ Purse’ teaser: Mammootty starrer promises an investigative comedy film

The majority has not ventured into the territory of an investigative comedy film and in the year 2025, Mammootty and Gautham Vasudev Menon are all set to entertain the audiences with ‘Dominic and the Ladies’ Purse’.

The makers recently unveiled the teaser for the Mammootty starrer which promises an investigative comedy entertainer.


Mammootty unveiled the teaser for ‘Dominic and the Ladies’ Purse’ via his Twitter. The Tweet was flooded with comments from fans. One commented, “Mammootty Kampany delivers blockbuster always.” Another comment read, “Excited Really Really Excited... Cant Wait Anymore Ikka-GVM.” A third commented, “Teaser is very nice. Seems like a funny movie loading from Ikka.”


The teaser featured Mammootty’s Sherlock-style character teaching his assistant Gokul Suresh how to defend his enemies. The teaser opens with Gokul’s character who seems to be scared, asking his boss how to react if the opponents turn violent and attack them. Mammootty’s Dominic character calmly responds by saying that they will hit back at them and also teaches him how to strike good moves.


With a realistic style, infused with a comedic style, this GVM’s first Malayalam directorial seems to be a fresh take on investigative films. Mammootty reportedly plays a Sherlock-style character with a fun vibe.


Directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, ‘Dominic and the Ladies’ Purse’ features Mammootty, Gokul Suresh, Shine Tom Chacko, Lenaa, Siddique, Vineeth, and Vijay Babu in main roles. Vishnu Dev is roped in as the cinematographer and overall the expectations are quite high as the legendary Mammootty is teaming up with GVM for the first time.


On the other hand, Mammootty’s previous outing was with the action thriller film ‘Turbo’ directed by Vysakh. The movie received mediocre reviews from the audiences.

Meanwhile, Mammootty also played the lead in one of the segments in the recently released anthology film ‘Manorathangal’.
