According to the Sacnilk website, the Mammootty starrer ‘Dominic and the Ladies’ Purse’ collected Rs 1.50 crore on it’s opening day from India as per the early estimates.

Coming to the occupancy rates, the Gautham Vasudev Menon’s directorial had an overall 26.75 percent Malayalam occupancy on Thursday (day 1) with morning shows at 20.29 percent, afternoon shows at 19.81 percent, evening shows at 24.13 percent, and night shows at 42.78 percent.

Overall the day one collection and occupancy rates look decent and the movie is expected to hold strong in cinemas in the coming days as well.

ETimes exclusive rating for the movie is 3 out of 5 stars and our review reads, “The film is layered and so are the characters. Gokul Suresh matches Dominic's vibe and so does Viji Venkatesh. They are like two satellites around the star. Of course, the star performer after Mammootty is Sushmitha Bhatt. She is spectacular. There are so many characters going in and out but the story warrants it. The exciting climax makes up for any lethargy one may feel at any point in the film. That said, there are also plot points like the identity of an individual -who do they identify as ? There is no judgement which is fair and hopefully, it is looked at through the same lens by the larger public rather than being used as a tool to discriminate.”
