Actor Divya Unni, who has been a target of cyberbullying due to alleged remarks against the late Kalabhavan Mani, has finally broken her silence on the controversy.
In a recent interview with an online channel, Divya Unni dismissed the rumours and deemed it disrespectful to address the issue years later.
Divya Unni, known for her roles in movies like 'Kalyana Sowgandhikam' and 'Aakasha Ganga,' clarified her stance, stating, "Me and Kalabhavan Chettan shared a strong bond and worked in several films together. To be honest, I don't know the source of those rumours."
The ace actress further said that she does not believe that she needs to address the false rumours, especially since they are one-sided now. Divya Unni said, "It would also be disrespectful to Mani Chettan to address these rumours after so long."
Having debuted as a lead actress in 'Kalyana Sowgandhikam,' where she shared the screen with Kalabhavan Mani, Divya Unni emphasised the positive and collaborative relationship she had with the late artist.
For those who are unaware of the controversy, the issue revolved around accusations that Divya Unni insulted Kalabhavan Mani based on his skin color and refused to work with him in any further films.
