Divya Pillai on ‘Garudan’: I am truly humbled by the positive response

‘Garudan’ starring Suresh Gopi and Biju Menon hit the big screens on November 3. Actress Divya Pillai played the role of Haritha, the wife of the character played by Biju Menon. The actress has now penned a gratitude note to the audience for the heartwarming response.

In a note shared on Instagram, Divya Pillai said, “A week has passed since Garudan was released, and I am truly humbled by the positive response... Thank you everyone for your kind words and for truly enjoying the movie! I am away at the shoot and hence unable to join the happiness with the team and thank you in person."

She also expressed gratitude towards the director, Arun Varma, who gave her the opportunity. "I am extremely grateful to @dir_arunvarma and @iamlistinstephen for giving me this opportunity to be a small part of this beautiful movie,” she said.

Divya Pillai also added that being part of a film with legends in it is the biggest takeaway from the project. “To be in a movie alongside such legends of our industry and to watch them create magic is always going to be a highlight in my career! Congratulations to team #garudan,” Divya Pillai said.


‘Garudan’ revolves around the lead characters Harish and Nishanth, played by Suresh Gopi and Biju Menon, respectively. Harish investigates a rape case at the beginning of the film and identifies Nishanth as the culprit. A few years later, he is released from jail, and the events that follow form the crux of the thriller. The film is receiving a good response from the audience.
