However, due to the Bollywood actor's busy schedule with theatre workshops and the director's commitment to his next project starring Dileep titled 'Thankamani,' the Hindi remake encountered unavoidable delays.

Despite the OTT release, Ratheesh Reghunandan assured that the Hindi remake plans for 'Udal' remain intact.
Highlighting the sequence of events, Ratheesh Reghunandan explained his intention to launch 'Udal' on OTT prior to 'Thankamani's theatrical release, primarily to satisfy the audience's curiosity about its streaming availability. The overwhelming reviews and anticipation led to a desire to debut the film on streaming platforms before the Dileep-starrer hit theatres.
Emphasizing the film's essence, Ratheesh Reghunandan praised the performance-driven narrative and the ensemble's compelling acting. He clarified that the film received an A certificate not for its sexual content but due to its intense sequences.
