The filmmaker was facing treats against his post connected to Sabarimala and Ayyappan on his social media page.
The director tells us, "Right wing activists have been sending me death threats ever since I aired my opinion on my social media page. When I was leaving my home, an RSS activist came and threw cow dung on me and hit me with the bucket," explains Priyanandanan.
Priyanandanan has informed the police and has also filed a complaint against the attack. On the attack, Priyanandanan says, "Everybody has the freedom to express and I think the rest should respect it. If someone is feeling that one shouldn't have the freedom to express anything that is against their likness, then it is fascism."
