Director Bejoy Nambiar reveals his wish to remake the Malayalam classic ‘Innale’

Bollywood director Bejoy Nambiar, celebrated for his unique storytelling prowess, has recently revealed his desire to remake the iconic Malayalam film 'Innale.'

In an interview with IndiaToday.in, Bejoy Nambiar expressed his admiration for the 1990 classic and envisioned a contemporary retelling of its captivating narrative.

Bejoy Nambiar shared his enthusiasm for 'Innale' and its potential for a modern adaptation.

Speaking about his aspirations, the 'Solo' director stated, "I would love to remake 'Innale' at some point. If ever I got the chance, that would be the first film I would work on. Innale means 'Yesterday' in Malayalam, and it's directed by Padmarajan. It's a beautiful film, and it's a film that I would love to remake."

The ace director further said that he is happy that he got to work with Jayaram's son Kalidas during the action flick 'Dange.'

'Innale,' a masterpiece directed by Padmarajan and released in 1990, earned acclaim for its compelling narrative, stellar performances, and soulful music.

The psychological drama film revolves around the life of Dr. Narendran, portrayed by Jayaram, whose world takes an unexpected turn upon encountering a woman, played by Shobhana, with no memory of her past. The intricate storyline blends mystery, romance, and psychological drama, leaving an everlasting mark on the audience, especially the emotional climax sequence.

Meanwhile, Bejoy Nambiar has worked in the Malayalam film industry for the Dulquer Salmaan starrer 'Solo', which unfortunately failed to impress the audiences.
